Notes: It was described as Empoasca bancrofti by Evans (1938b) and as Empoasca (Paolia) bancrofti (Evans) by Lower (1952). This name was synonymised with Kirkaldy's species by Evans (1966). The most distinctive features of the species are the coloration and the presence of a clear coronal suture extending down the centre of the vertex which is of even width throughout.
