Economic Status: Common species found on grasses, rushes and low shrubs and has been recorded associated with Nothofagus in New Zealand (Knight 1975

Notes: R. vetus is plain brown with a dark spot at the base of the second preapical cell (M) and obscure longitudinal brown stripes on the vertex and pronotum.
