Distribution: China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, Thailand

Economic Status: Transmission tests have confirmed that Yamatotettix flavovittatus is able to transmit the phytoplasma responsible for sugarcane white leaf disease to healthy plants (Hanboonsong et al. 2006; Thein et al. 2012).

Identification: Webb (1986) provides a key to the species of Yamatotettix.
