Last (6th) segment of antennae with the apical narrow section (processus terminalis or "Pt") shorter than the thicker basal section (base of segment 6); siphunculi absent; living underground on roots.

Processus terminalis (Pt) much longer than the base of antennal segment 6; siphunculi present as tubular structures on the abdomen; living on above-ground parts of lettuce plant.
