Maiestas distincta  (Motschulsky 1859)

Common Name: none 

Subfamily/Tribe: Deltocephalinae: Deltocephalini 

Distribution: India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan and Taiwan. The species was listed by Day and Fletcher (1994) from Queensland, although this record has not been substantiated. 

Economic Status: Wilson and Claridge (1991) note that its main host is rice, although no damage to rice was reported. 

Notes: R. distincta is similar in coloration to R. vetus Knight but without longitudinal stripes on the head and thorax. It is illustrated by Wilson and Claridge (1991)
