Bactrocera bryoniae (Tryon)

Common Name:  None

Diagnosis: Anterior supra-alar bristles present. Prescutellar bristles absent. Anterior notopleural bristle absent. Number of scutellar bristles 2. Posterior surstylus lobe short. Medial post sutural vittae absent. Lateral post sutural vittae present. Costal streak broad - touching R4+5 for its length.  

Attractant: cue lure and Willison's lure  

Larval Hosts: Known hosts include: capsicum, mangoes, passionfruit, and bananas.

Economic status: One out of five economic significance
