Dacus newmani (Perkins)

Common Name: newman fly  

Diagnosis: Abdominal tergites fused. Abdomen shape petiolate. Anterior supra-alar bristles present. Prescutellar bristles absent. Anterior notopleural bristle absent. Number of scutellar bristles 2. Combined lengths of all antennal segments =LT vertical len head. Medial post sutural vittae present. Wing markings costal band & anal streak only .Costal cells cloudy. Postpronotal calli yellow.  

Attractant: Cue lure 

Larval Hosts: unknown  

Economic status: Nil
