This species is similar to Siphanta acuta (Walker), S. hebes (Walker), S. eberhardi Fletcher and S. tropica Fletcher
which are all somewhat variable in size, shape of tegmen and, to some extent, colour and can only be differentiated by examination of the male genitalia
S. angularis is a large species with the sutural angle slightly produced dorsally. It has been collected from avocado.
