Orosius lotophagorum (Kirkaldy 1907)

Common Name: none

Subfamily/Tribe: Deltocephalinae: Opsiini

Distribution: NT, Philippines, Polynesia, Melanesia

Economic Status: As listed in Day and Fletcher (1994) it has a wide host range, although not recorded as a vector of any plant diseases.

Notes: This species is similar to O. ryukyuensis, which was regarded by M.S.K. Ghauri (reported in Behncken 1984), as a subspecies of O. lotophagorum. The species were both considered to be valid by Fletcher et al. (2016) based on the structures of the male genitalia and CO1 barcode sequences.
