Distribution: Indonesia (Borneo, Sarawak), Philippines (Luzon), Qld, NSW

Australian species: Only one species, Amarusa australis (Jacobi 1921: 9), is recorded in Australia.

Comments: This is the largest Australian spittlebug and is relatively uncommon in collections. However, it sometimes occurs in very large numbers causing significant "rainfall" from trees.
