Hindoloides appendiculata (Hacker)

Genus Hindoloides Distant 1915a: 506
Type species: Hindoloides indicans Distant, by original designation (India)

Generic Distribution: Japan, Taiwan, China, India, Australia

Australian species: Hindoloides appendiculata was described, in the genus Polychaetophyes, by Hacker (1926) and transferred to Hindoloides by Evans (1966). It is the only representative of this small oriental genus.

Comments: The apical overlap of the tegmina and the wide appendix gives these insects a hunched, truncate appearance which is quite distinctive.
