Genus Undarana Hoch & Howarth

Undarana rosella Hoch & Howarth

Genus Undarana Hoch & Howarth 1989: 180

Type species: Undarana tamborina Hoch and Howarth, 1989, by original designation

This genus, endemic to Queensland, includes six species, two of which are cavernicolous (U. collina and U. rosella). The species are large (up to almost 9 mm) and brown with the tegmina shallowly tectiform over the body. Hoch & Howarth (1989) analysed the morphological adaptation associated with cave dwelling in these two species in comparison with their epigean relatives.
