Type species: Budginmaya eulae Fletcher & Moir 2009
Distribution: Australia (WA), known only from Bandalup Hill, Ravensthorpe Range, SW Western Australia
Species: Only the type species is known.
Note: This species is the only Australian planthopper recorded living in the nests of ants. A small group was found living with Camponotus terebrans (Lowne) under a rock at the type locality. Because its known distribution is so restricted, the species has been given Priority One Conservation Status (see here for details of this classification).
