Euryphantia cinerascens Kirkaldy

Genus Euryphantia Kirkaldy 1906: 456
Type species: Euryphantia cinerascens Kirkaldy 1906: 456

Distribution: Australia (NT, Qld)

Species: The genus contains two species: E. cinerascens from NT and Southern Qld (Carnarvon Gorge and Bundaberg to Brisbane) and E. tristis (Kirkaldy 1907: 101) from N. Qld.

Note: The genus was reviewed by Fletcher (1980) who illustrated the genitalia of both species and pointed out that considerable variation in size existed, particularly between the Qld and NT populations of E. cinerascens, although there was no variation in the male genitalia.
