Genus Tetrica Stål

Tetrica curvicosta Jacobi

Genus Tetrica Stål 1866a: 208.
Type species: Tetrica fusca Stål (Myanmar), designated by Stål 1870.

Known species: 18 species are known, distributed from India to New Guinea and from the Philippines to Australia. Two species are known from Australia, both only in Qld.

Notes: As with Sarima, revision of the oriental issid fauna may redefine the generic placement of these two species. They can be differentiated from most of the other Australian genera by the absence of the distinctive features defining the other genera. From Chlamydopteryx, they can be differentiated by the relatively narrower face and by the number of crossveins in the hindwing.
