Subfamily Iassinae: Tribe Reuplemmelini
Reuplemmeles hobartensis (Evans)
This tribe is easily recognised by the shape of the head, with flat face with arched antennal ledges, broad crown and narrow marginal rim on which the ocelli are placed. The most common species is Reuplemmeles hobartensis which has pale yellow females and reddish brown males. R. hobartensis can be differentiated from species of Aloplemmeles by having the front marginal band of the head quite narrow while in Aloplemmeles it is thickened.
