Subfamily Iassinae: Tribe Trocnadini
Trocnada minuta Evans
The Trocnadini are easily recognised by the shape of the head and thorax which, in lateral view, form a continuous curve from the hind margin of the pronotum to the antennal ledges. The tribe, with three species of Trocnada which are endemic to Australia, was augmented by the transfer of three species of Thallatoscopus by Krishnankutty et al. (2016). The widespread Trocnada dorsigera is usually reddish pink in colour and commonly collected from Eucalyptus (Myrtaceae) foliage. The male genitalia of the species of Trocnada were described by Dai & Dietrich (2012). [update: 9.viii.2013; 25.x.2016]
