Species of Subfamily Deltocephalinae known to occur in Indonesia and New Guinea
Note: In this list, "PNG" is used for the eastern half of New Guinea (Papua New Guinea) and "Indonesia (W. Papua)" is used for the western half (formerly known as Irian Jaya, Irian Barat, West Irian and Dutch New Guinea). "New Guinea" refers to the whole island.
Note: Many of the Deltocephalinae from Indonesia and New Guinea were originally placed in genera now known to be restricted to the Nearctic or Palaearctic regions in distribution. The generic placements provided here reflect the most recent combination found in the published literature.

Datta (1972) also listed both species separately, as species of Athysanus, and appears to have been unaware of Ross's (1968) revision of Exitianus. |

Exitianus nanus (Distant)

Specific records from Indonesia are not known to the current author but it is presumed that the species occurs in the region. |

Alospanbergia bella Evans Alospanbergia bella Evans 1973: 188 Note: The generic spelling above was used three times by Evans (1973) in his original publication of the genus. Oman, et al. (1990) corrected this to Alospangbergia, presumably because the genus is named after Jacob Spangberg. However, Article 32 of the Code (3rd Edition, which was current at the time) only allows emendation of a name if it is clear from Evans' (1973) original publication that his spelling was in error (ie. if he had used both spellings) but his consistent use of Alospanbergia indicates that this was the spelling he intended, even though he misspelt Spangberg's name. |
