Tribe Coelidiini

Press for species list

Taharana dubia (Walker)

The Coelidiinae have been extensively studied by M.W. Nielson and the Tribe Coelidiini was covered by Nielson (1982). Representation of Coelidiini in the regions covered by this package is limited to a handful of species restricted to Indonesia and New Guinea. No species of this tribe have been found in Australia or New Zealand although it is one of the most widespread tribes of Coelidiinae (Nielson 1982).

Members of this tribe can be differentiated from the other two tribes included in these keys by the structure of the male subgenital plates which are not segmented subbasally and are usually appressed ventrally to the pygofer.
