Subfamily Deltocephalinae: Tribe Paralimnini

Press for species list Mayawa carolae Fletcher

The Australian Paralimnini were all included in the subtribe Paralimnina by Zahniser and Dietrich (2013) [update: 4.vii.2013]. They are mostly medium sized leafhoppers which are often brightly coloured. Fletcher (2000) added the genus Mayawa with six species, including the transfer of Limotettix capitatus Kirkaldy from the Athysanini [update 7.viii.2000]. Day and Fletcher (1994) included the two known species of Soractellus in the Paralimnini because of the structure of the basal connective of the aedeagus. There are also 3 undescribed species of Soractellus in Australia.
