Genus Dremuela Evans
Genus Dremuela Evans 1966: 60. Type species: Dremuela hieroglyphica Evans, by original designation
Known species: Only the type species, from NSW and Victoria, is known.
Comments: D. hieroglyphica differs from all other Eurymelini by the presence of dorsal accessory processes on the male subgenital plates rather than ventral processes. These processes are derived from the infolded dorsal margin. The species is not common in collections.
Please note:
Eurymelella,
a member of the Ipoini, will also key out here if you use the Eurymelini
key because its colouring is more typical of the Eurymelini than the Ipoini.
It lacks accessory processes on the subgenital plates so was transferred
to the Ipoini by Evans (1966).
