Genus Eurymelessa Evans 1933: 88. Type species: Eurymeloides moruyana Distant, by original designation

Known species: Only the type species, from eastern Australia and PNG, is known

Comments: This distinctively marked species is relatively common in Victoria, NSW and Queensland. The black face lacking any pale markings, except at the very dorsal margin where the pale crown is visible, is diagnostic.
