Known species: The type species and an undescribed species from PNG are known.
Distribution: N. Qld, PNG
Comments: This is a small species distinguished by the broad gena, recurved clypeus and distinctive colouration. Day (1999) distinguishes the genus from the superficially similar Sextius by a lack of reticulate venation (although there are extra crossveins), the short, straight median pronotal process, the total absence of lateral pronotal processes (although these can be absent from some Sextius specimens) and the dorsal pronotal carina only weakly developed. The type species is poorly represented in collections. Day (1999) lists Acacia as a food plant for A. bipunctatus while the species in PNG has been collected from Melaleuca.
