Genus Aloeurymela Evans

Press for checklist of Australian EurymeliniAloeurymela gearyi Evans

Genus Aloeurymela Evans 1965: 85. Type species: Aloeurymela gearyi Evans, by original designation

Known species: Two species are known, A. gearyi in Qld, NSW and WA and A. langfieldi in WA.

Comments: These species, like Pauripo insularis, have more the appearance of the Ipoini than the Eurymelini but are placed in the latter tribe because of the presence of well developed ventral processes on the male subgenital plate, a defining feature of the Eurymelini. A. gearyi sometimes has an indistinct diamond shape on the folded tegmina, outlined by the anterior and posterior pale markings.
