Genus Alocanthella Evans
Alocanthella Evans 1966: 296; Day 1999: 647. Type species: Alocanthella fulva Evans, by original designation
Known species: Only the type species is described but Day (1999) indicates that there are several species, all from northern Australia.
Distribution: Qld, NT (northern and central Australia, Day 1999)
Comments: These species are small and squat with the pronotum broadly humped in lateral view. The median pronotal process (MPP) is undulate dorsally (saddle-shaped is the term used by Day 1999) and is similar to the MPP of Bunyella dromedarius which has an anterior pronotal saddle in addition to the posterior one.
