Genus Eufairmairiella Evans
Eufairmairiella Evans 1966: 283; Day 1999: 669. Type species: Sertorius curvicaudus Goding 1903, by original designation
Known species: Only the type species is described although Day (1999: 671) lists two undescribed species from WA and Qld.
Distribution: NSW, Qld, WA, NT
Comments: These are solidly built membracids with the lateral pronotal processes (LPPs) broad in dorsal view with longitudinal ridging. Evans (1966) used the feature that only one surface of the LPPs was visible in dorsal view as a diagnostic attribute of the genus. Although it is indeed a feature of this genus, Day (1999) pointed out that this feature can also be found in some species of Eufairmairia Distant, which can be differentiated by a lack of distinct longitudinal ridging on the LPPs.
