Genus Eufairmairia Distant
Eufairmairia Distant 1916a: 35; Day 1999: 666. Type species: Centrotus decisus Walker 1851, by original designation
Known species: Ten described species, some quite common. A number of undescribed species are reported by Day (1999) to be present in collections.
Distribution: NSW, ACT, Qld, Vic, SA, WA, NT, PNG?
Comments: The species of this genus are similar in general appearance to Eufairmairiella differing either by having two surfaces (the dorsal and posterior) of the lateral pronotal processes visible dorsally or, if only one is visible, this lacks the strong longitudinal ridging seen in Eufairmairiella. From species of Neocanthuchus Day, species of Eufairmairia differ in having a long median pronotal process and in having the M and Cu veins of the forewings quite separate at the base.
