Genus Lubra Goding

Lubra spinicornis (Walker) Lubra spinicornis (Walker)

Lubra Goding 1903: 29; Day 1999: 681. Type species: Oxyrhachis spinicornis Walker, 1862, designated by Funkhouse 1951: 242

Known species: Only the type species is known.

Distribution: NSW, Qld

Comments: The shape of the lateral pronotal processes (LPP), particularly the degree of apical expansion, is quite variable throughout the range of the species. It differs from species in Ceraon in the erect setae scattered over the LPPs. In addition, the apical expansion of the LPPs in Ceraon is mainly in the transverse plane while it is more globular in many specimens of Lubra.
